Beyond The Ring Scholarship

The Thrilla Gives Scholarship Program is rooted in the mission of giving back to our community and making a meaningful impact within our own backyard. Committed to fostering education and supporting local talent, our scholarship program aims to empower deserving individuals to pursue their academic aspirations. By investing in the education of our community members, Thrilla Gives strives to create a positive ripple effect that extends far beyond the classroom, contributing to the overall growth and prosperity of our local area. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire and uplift individuals, ultimately building a stronger and more vibrant community for generations to come.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION (DUE DATE: POSTMARKED APRIL 1ST)

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Annual basis scholarships will be determined by Thrilla Gives Leadership Committee
Up to 10-individual scholarships of $1,500 each-per year
One scholarship for the Memorial “Jim Schmelzer” award for $2,000
3-5 independent scoring judges (not associated with Thrilla Gives)

PROGRAM OPEN TO:

Graduating High School Seniors
2-4 year College Undergraduates (Associates or Bachelor Degrees)
Trade School Students
Scholarships are renewable on annual-competitive basis (must reapply and qualify)
Athletic youth boxing development programs (currently enrolled)

Financial need/Hardship

Scholarship awards will be issued at designated Thrilla events (when applicable).
