From Strides to Impact: The Thrilla Gives Story
Embark on an incredible journey with Thrilla Gives, a heartwarming initiative founded by Tony Rubino and Al Marino. Tony, a dedicated fundraiser for MS, teamed up with Al, who had a brilliant idea - hosting a memorable guys' night out featuring steak, booze, boxing, and cigars, all for a charitable cause. This unique fundraiser, coined "Thrilla at the Villa," had its debut in 2004.
From its modest beginnings, Thrilla at the Villa blossomed into a remarkable event that, over two transformative decades, raised nearly $2.3 million. Today, under its new moniker, Thrilla Gives, its influence extends far and wide, offering vital support to organizations such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Juvenile Diabetes, Friends of Foster Kids, Vietnam Veterans of America, Families Against Narcotics, and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. With unwavering backing from generous vendors and an unwavering commitment to uplifting those in need, Thrilla Gives unites our community in the pursuit of meaningful change.
